Joel ‘Kachi Benson has produced and directed several projects that have been featured in various festivals and fora, including the Berlin Film Festival, Hot Docs, Cannes XR, the Phi Centre, and the British Film Institute. His works include In Bakassi, Nigeria’s first VR Documentary, and Daughters of Chibok, which won the 2019 Venice Lion for Best Immersive Story. He is currently filming Madu, a coming-of-age documentary produced by Disney+; and The Harvest, a sequel to his multi-award winning short film, Daughters of Chibok.
‘Kachi Benson also collaborates with various brands and organisations to tell stories of impact, including the United Nations Development Programme, Sustainable Energy for All, and the Northeast Children’s Trust.
